Until the past week, Mom had been happy for several weeks. Something is going on to trouble her, but she won't share. So now we are having ups and downs, which is sometimes difficult. Because I live with her (at her request), I get the bulk of the responsibility, without any authority. My brother takes care of the financial stuff, other than bill paying, which Mom still wants to do herself. She paid some bills yesterday, and it's heartbreaking to watch; she gets so flustered and confused, takes everything out of all the envelopes and then gets mad when a payment coupon doesn't fit in the envelope (wrong one).
It's just so hard to watch it, sometimes....
Doing good.

Yes, doing good, not well.
I want to do good, to and for others. I live in a community with many elderly, and they often ask for my help. I can't always do it right then, but almost always can change that light bulb, fix what they messed up on their television, fix their answering machine, change a smoke detector battery, whatever.
I help my mom with appointments, shopping, paying bills, changing her light bulbs, and anything else I can handle.
I am still looking for work, and having an income would give me more ability to do good!

Who is this woman inside my body?
I have no idea where this is going! I'm at what feels like a strange place in my life. I truly never thought I'd find myself "here" when I was younger. I'm looking for work, again. I'm watching out for my mother, who has memory and vision issues. She no longer drives, mostly because of the memory. Needs supervision for her meds, and reminders of appointments. Medication compliance isn't the problem, just needs help remembering to take them.
My job hunt is made more difficult as my body now rejects lifting much, or reaching far. I'm just not a kid anymore! I also consider my mother and how she fits into a work schedule. We still have appointments and meds, so I need to make that work. Can others help? Another day...
